SuperintendentPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIESIncluding but not limited to:
Secure, lock or unlock buildings.
Maintain heating and ventilation systems in all buildings.
Conduct monthly safety meetings, custodial and grounds staff.
Do quarterly official safety inspections of the buildings.
Make safety checks to prevent injury.
Assist with preparation of the annual building maintenance budget.
Check for and eliminate fire hazards.
Maintain an orderly working environment in district warehouse and other buildings.
Delegate work to custodial, maintenance and grounds staff for the care and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Prioritize requests submitted through the district work order system.
Care for and maintain equipment used in all custodial, grounds and maintenance operations.
Keep current in building safety trends and practices by attending classes required for certification in asbestos abatement and other areas.
Order supplies necessary for care and upkeep of buildings and grounds Conduct annual inspections of all buildings Complete and submit schedules of staff, as required by the Superintendent, including leave requests submitted through AESOP.
Take all reasonable precautions to provide for the health and safety of the staff and students and to protect equipment, materials and facilities.
Manage and evaluate custodial staff Attend required workshops Maintain records as needed, including Material Safety Data notebooks.
Takes all reasonable precautions to provide for the health and safety of the students and to protect equipment, materials and facilities.
Immediately report information regarding abuse of any kind to the appropriate administrator or social service agency.
Be responsible for district keys as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned, such as obtaining vendor/contractor bids for maintenance projects, in conjunction with the Superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTWork year, vacation time, wages, and benefits determined by the Board of Directors.
Obtain criminal history background and fingerprint check.
Obtain a First Aid and CPR card.
